What is Wisdom Growth?

Wisdom Growth is a growth mindset that believes: one’s abilities and intelligence can be developed and improved over time through dedication, hard work, learning, and resilience. Individuals with a growth mindset tend to see challenges and failures as opportunities for growth and learning, rather than as setbacks. “In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment” (Dweck, 2015).

What are the Current Problems and How to Solve them?
The 21st Century is full of problems and challenges. The problems can be divided into International, national, societal, economic, political, educational, physical, mental, cultural, and psychological. Here, I have come to discuss only a few problems that touch our students, youths, women, and girls.
1. Current International Problems: War, hunger, poverty, gender inequality, violence, terrorism, overpopulation, migration, eviction, climate change, pandemic, globalization, etc.
Causes: Excessive money power, less spiritualism, lower level of true knowledge, greed for more power, intolerance, disrespect, lack of managerial skills & capacity of leaders, etc.
Solutions: Qualities like respect for others, learning the art of living, proper upbringing of children in family and school, value education, discipline education, ethical education, and infusing spirituality among children are to be developed from the childhood stage. Proper training and skill development before sitting in any responsible post is sine qua non. Peace, tolerance, ethics, integrity, respect, love, and empathy should be the basic qualities of a parent, teacher, political leader, or office bearer. In today’s world learning the art of living and managing diverse people requires specialized training and capacity, which are the basic aims of this Researcher to build and enhance among the concerned people including students, youths, teachers, leaders, and policymakers.
2. Current National Problems: The poor countries have different kinds of challenges, unlike their rich counterparts. Poverty, illiteracy, ill health, food crisis, water crisis, electricity crisis, clean water problem, infrastructure, high cost of medical treatment, lower capacity of people, lack of knowledge and skills, etc. are the problems of Medium and Low Human Development Countries.
On the contrary, the Very High and High Human Development Countries are not free from problems and challenges. Gender inequality in social, economic, and politics is a common factor in all developed countries. Violence at home, school, road, and workplace cannot be avoided. Fear of loss of money, job, study, friend, love, and spouse are common problems in developed countries. Mistrust of spouse, lover, friend, and relatives makes people lonesome and self-centered. Corruption is a major challenge in developed countries. Arms dealers, mafia raj, and political hooliganism are also very common in developed countries. Lack of morality, lack of integrity, lack of skills, and lack of capacity of leaders spoil the life of the common citizenry. Free Sex and Crime are major problems. Too much money-mindedness makes people like machines. Quality Education is too costly in developed countries. Aggressive attitudes spoil the family and societal ties. Immoral and unethical political behavior of leaders brings war and destroys national peace and security. No meditation, no mental peace. The lower the sympathy, the lower the mental and familial tranquility and stability. Too much greed for other’s property, other’s land, other’s wife, other’s treasure, other’s wealth turns many into sophisticated animals. Mental illness is a major problem for people in developed countries.
Solutions: Learn the art of living from Indian philosophers, saints, and sages. Indian spiritualism can bring mental peace, happiness, and prosperity. Indian Yoga (meditation and exercise) will make your soul, body, and mind perfect and give you a longer life with peace. The students must be imparted value education, ethical education, and discipline education with a focus on integrity, empathy, patriotism, love, and respect for family members, neighbors, and country and people in the world which will help reduce stress and tension. This education will make a man a true human being. Ethical leaders are the only solution for national progress, happiness, and a war-free world. A leader must be a Rajarshi – Raja (king/Prime Minister in the modern sense) and Rishi (a sage or saint) combined. Non-aggression, non-interference, non-violence, and mutual respect should be the foundation of every country in the world, particularly war-prone countries in the world. Let us make a better world for your children and grandchildren through mutual respect, negotiation, and non-violent means. Let us introduce Yoga, discipline education, and ethical education in all Schools from Primary to Higher Secondary Level. Skill-developed training, gender sensitization programs, environmental awareness programs, sex education, and basic knowledge of the law of the land, and the Constitution can help reduce stress, crime, war, and violence. When a child learns discipline and ethics, he becomes a disciplined and ethical person in the future. These kinds of children are the backbone of a good and healthy family, society, nation, and the world, as a whole.
3. Societal Problems: stress, mental agony, intolerance, ill-feeling, lack of job opportunities, lack of food, lack of ideal teacher, ideal person, ideal parents, love affairs, separation, lack of faith, lack of fellow-feeling among people, lack of ethics, lack of value system, lack of discipline, lack of time management, lack of spirituality, lack of good schools, good and qualified teachers in schools, colleges and Universities, corruption, casteism, malnutrition, discrimination, safety and security of women and girls, etc.
Solutions: Parental care is the basic need of the hour. Love and sympathy of both parents are very much essential. Quality time of parents and other senior family members is essential for the good growth of a child. Good creches in neighborhood areas are necessary for children with working parents. Good quality Schools and quality/trained teachers are the utmost requirements for the proper growth of a child. Sex education, value education, ethical education, and discipline education must be imparted in schools. Mobile phones (except emergency) should be banned in Schools. The bad impact of drugs, alcohol, smoking, etc. should be imparted to the students from school. More non-formal Schools should be started for dropout students and old and retired persons of the locality should be engaged with a small remuneration from the local governments. Necessary trained teachers should be provided in every school. No compromise should be made with the quality of education. Vocational training and NCC (National Cadet Corps), voluntary service should be introduced in every High School in India. Teachers must attend the classes with preparation and they should be good-natured, sympathetic, and affectionate to the students. Students are our children, and they are the most valuable assets of our country. These things must be kept in mind. We should behave properly with every child everywhere – at home, in school, on the road, on public transport, or anywhere. Self-protection training should be imparted to women and girls. Jude-karate should be introduced in every school, college, and University in the world to reduce violence against women. Legal awareness is a must for girls and the general public.
Other Solutions such as the following –
Poverty can be solved through welfare schemes by the government. Education and skill training are such weapons by which any child can defeat poverty within a span of a maximum of 15 years.
The ill-healthy problem can be solved by opening and providing health education in Schools, by opening more hospitals and health centers in neighborhood areas, and by personal guidance.
Illiteracy is a curse. The government must spend more money on educational attainment. Public-private partnerships can help build more schools and quality education for the students. Motivation for the students is necessary. Dropouts of students can be checked by tracing and tracking of every child by the teacher. Each poor child must be fed up to College level. More non-formal education should be introduced.
Sex and crime is a major challenge nowadays. Children must be given love and care. Misbehaviour by parents and teachers should be completely banned. Mothers and teachers should be sensitized to the proper and sympathetic behavior and attitudinal change toward every student they teach. When a teacher loves a boy or a girl, when a parent loves a child or student and takes proper care, he or she cannot be involved in crime and other illegal sexual activities before attaining the proper age.
4. Political Problems: Corrupt politicians, lack of job opportunities, lack of investment, extortionist attitude, crime, violence, killings, amassing huge wealth by politicians, corrupt trades, lawyers, businessmen, and mafias, lack of Constitutional knowledge of political leaders, illiteracy and lower rate of educational attainment, unethical politics, valueless politicians, corrupt politicians, etc. Sex and crime of children and youths, elders and criminals. Nexus among lawyers, police, and politicians aggravate the situation in society. Procrastination in the judiciary, lower rate of punishment for political leaders and politicians, and majoritarian politics are also some challenges in countries like India. Hooliganism, violence in politics, threatening, intimidating, cheating, turn coating, false voting, proxy voting, killings, area domination, and domination of mafia raj in politics make Indian democracy a farce.
Solutions: At least graduation should be the minimum educational qualification for any office bearer. Orientation programs from time to time should be introduced for political leaders. People with a Political Science or Civics background should have a quota for political positions in state or national-level political posts. The law of the land and the Constitution must be known to the political leaders. Lawyers and Political Scientists should be engaged by every political party to impart training on Political Science, Ethics, Integrity, the Indian Constitution, the Indian Penal Code, the Environment, and other relevant issues. Judiciary must be more stern to punish those who are culprits and criminals may they be politically influential or financially powerful. Quick and prompt completion of inquiry should be done by all the investigating agencies. Police must be working independently without any nexus with politicians and mafias and lawyers. Police training should be continued and they must be updated with the latest happenings and laws introduced in the country. People, especially educated and professionals, must avoid corrupt politicians and criminal politicians. The litterateurs, the poets, the writers, the artists, and the painters must shun all government positions and work independently with the aim of national development in mind. Civil society should be active and more vocal in time of societal or political or educational crises. People must be fearless and cast their own votes by their own hands. Proxy votes should be stopped. The Election Commission must introduce online voting systems like ATMs or other online payment systems to avoid unnecessary violence during elections. Law and order should be established in every police station in India. Goondaraj must be stopped at any cost. All qualified people and teachers must be respected by all sections of society. No corruption should be tolerated by politicians related to education. The common citizens must have the right to punish those corrupt politicians who are compromising the future of our students by adopting corruption in case of recruitment of unqualified and lowly qualified teachers in our educational institutions.
(5) Problems of Youths and Students: Lack of enthusiasm, lack of interest in the study, lack of concentration, lack of memory power, lack of ideal teachers, lack of ideal parents, lack of ideal persons in the neighborhood, lack of parental care and affection, lack of appreciation by elders and parents, lack of skills and awareness of different ongoing schemes and programs running for the empowerment of students and their benefits.
Besides, love affairs, physical relationships, online chatting, video conferences, video making, interest in dancing, playing games till midnight, non-supervision by parents, no detention policy of government from Class One to elementary level, lack of proper food, proper clothes, proper guidance, proper support, proper teacher, enough money, etc. have crippled their minds and paralyzing their mentality.
Causes of the problems: Mainly, lack of money debars poor students from getting good schools, good private tuition, and good guides.
A lack of educated parents demoralizes our students and discourages them from attending regular classes and concentrating on education and their daily homework.
Poverty makes them vulnerable and pushes them to work as daily laborers from childhood. Girls while studying keeping and nursing their young siblings. They do not get good nutrition, good teachers, good friends, good schools, etc.
Mobile and the internet encourage them to watch videos, make reels, watch reels, watch video games, make friends, make love, have physical relations, get pregnant, have an early marriage, early mothers, physical weakness, mental stagnation, familial scuffles, separation, diverse, and finally reduced to child laborer with a lean and weak body, broken mentality, and broken family.
Solutions: As stated above in the part of societal problems.
